Walrus Audio HighPoint Optical Compressor

Walrus Audio HighPoint Optical Compressor The Walrus Audio HighPoint brings studio-grade dynamic control to your pedalboard, offering a level of refinement usually reserved for high-end rack gear. Built around a rich analog optical circuit, this compressor delivers a smooth, musical response that allows notes to bloom and chords to breathe. Whether you are looking for subtle evening-out of your transients or a thick, expansive sustain that adds harmonic density, the HighPoint acts as an essential foundation for your signal chain. At the heart of the HighPoint is a commitment to headroom and clarity. By internally boosting power to ±15VDC, the pedal maintains its punch and articulation even under heavy compression, ensuring your tone never feels collapsed or congested. The inclusion of a selectable High-Pass Filter in the sidechain is a game-changer for low-end enthusiasts; by preventing frequencies below 160Hz from over-triggering the circuit, it keeps bass guitars and extended-range instruments sounding tight, clear, and powerful. Construction-wise, the HighPoint is as functional as it is robust. It features a professional 10-LED VU metering array that allows you to monitor Input, Output, and Gain Reduction in real time. With dedicated controls for Attack, Release, and Ratio, plus a Blend knob for true parallel compression, you can perfectly balance your dry attack with compressed sustain. It is a precision tool designed for players who demand "always-on" reliability and boutique-quality tone. Please feel free to reach out to our knowledgeable sales staff with any additional questions!
