High Lifter UTV Camber & Toe Alignment Tool (4, 5 & 6 Lug)

If your side-by-side is chewing the inside edges off a set of tires, the fix starts with a measurement you can trust. The High Lifter Alignment Tool is a pair of bolt-on steel plates that mount straight to your wheel hubs so you can read camber and toe accurately in your own garage. Mounting provisions cover 4-lug, 5-lug and 6-lug machines, so one kit follows you across a mixed stable. Because the plates bolt to the hub rather than leaning against the tire, every reading comes off the wheel's actual mounting face instead of a flexing sidewall or a knobby tread block. Two tape measures give you toe directly. A magnetic digital angle finder gives you camber. Nothing is estimated by eye. Key Features Steel alignment plates bolt directly to the hub, so measurements come off the mounting face rather than the tire Mounting provisions for 4-lug, 5-lug and 6-lug bolt patterns: 4x137mm, 4x156mm, 5x4.5in and 6x5.5in Two tape measures included for measuring toe directly across the plates Magnetic digital angle finder included for reading camber Each plate bolts to a hub on either axle, so the kit works front or rear The widest bolt-pattern coverage in High Lifter's alignment range — one kit for 4, 5 and 6 lug machines Built To Solve: Uneven Tire Wear and Steering Pull on a Side-by-Side Inside- or outside-edge tire wear. Camber that has drifted out of spec loads one shoulder of the tread every mile and wears it out well ahead of the rest of the tire. Feathered, sawtooth tread. The signature of toe being off, and the fastest way there is to destroy a set of UTV tires. A steering wheel that sits off-center after new tie rods, a rebuild, or an impact you did not think much of at the time. Steering pull on level ground that you have been correcting for without knowing why. No way to verify your work after fitting A-arms, radius rods, tie rods or ball joints — all of which change the geometry. Guesswork alignments done by eye, by string, or by leaning a level against a knobby tire and hoping. Best For: UTV Owners Aligning 4, 5 and 6 Lug Machines at Home Owners running more than one machine with different bolt patterns — this is the kit in the range that covers all three lug counts Anyone who has just installed A-arms, radius rods, tie rods or ball joints and wants to confirm the alignment rather than assume it 5-lug machines on 5x4.5in, including the Polaris RZR Pro R and Turbo R 6-lug machines on 6x5.5in, including the Can-Am Maverick R 4-lug machines too: 4/156 covers the Polaris RZR XP and Turbo, 4/137 covers the Can-Am Maverick X3 and Honda Talon Riders who would rather check alignment in the garage before a trip than pay for a shop visit after one Clubs, chase crews and small shops that see several different machines Specifications Included: two bolt-on steel alignment plates, two tape measures, one magnetic digital angle finder Supported bolt patterns: 4x137mm, 4x156mm, 5x4.5in, 6x5.5in Measures: toe and camber Mounting: plates bolt to the wheel hub and are secured with the machine's own lug nuts Shipping weight: 13.5 lb Manufacturer Part Number: HL-TOOL-AK-2 Fitment This tool fits by bolt pattern, not by year, make or model. There is no vehicle-specific version — what matters is the pattern and stud arrangement on your hubs. 4x137mm — Can-Am Maverick X3, Honda Talon and other 4/137 machines 4x156mm — Polaris RZR XP, RZR Turbo and other 4/156 machines 5x4.5in (5x114.3mm) — Polaris RZR Pro R, Turbo R and other 5-lug machines 6x5.5in (6x139.7mm) — Can-Am Maverick R and other 6-lug machines Confirm your machine's bolt pattern before ordering. Fitment is not guaranteed on any pattern not listed above. If your machines are all 4-lug, High Lifter's 4-lug-only alignment kit covers 4/137 and 4/156 with published stud sizes and thread pitches and may suit you better. FAQ What bolt patterns does this alignment tool fit? Four: 4x137mm, 4x156mm, 5x4.5in and 6x5.5in. High Lifter states the tool has mounting provisions for machines with 4-lug, 5-lug and 6-lug bolt patterns. That is the widest coverage in their alignment range and the reason to pick this kit over the 4-lug-only version. Check your own hubs before ordering rather than assuming from the machine's model name. Does this measure camber, or only toe? Both. The two included tape measures let you measure toe directly across the plates, and the included magnetic digital angle finder reads camber off the plate face. Toe and camber are separate angles that need separate measurements, and this kit gives you a tool for each rather than making you infer one from the other. Do I have to take the wheels off to use it? Yes. The plates bolt to the hub and are secured with your own lug nuts, so the wheel comes off to fit them. That is the trade this design makes on purpose: measuring from the hub face gives a reading that a flexible sidewall and a knobby tread cannot, which is the whole reason to use a plate instead of leaning a straightedge against a tire. Can I use it on the rear of my machine? Yes. Each plate bolts to a hub, and nothing about the design is specific to the front axle, so you can check rear toe and rear camber the same way — provided the rear bolt pattern is one of the four supported. On many machines the rear pattern matches the front, but confirm rather than assume. How is this different from the 4-lug High Lifter Alignment Kit? Bolt-pattern coverage, and that is the whole difference worth caring about. This tool adds 5x4.5in and 6x5.5in on top of the 4-lug patterns; the other kit is 4/137 and 4/156 only. Both include the steel plates, two tape measures and the magnetic digital angle finder. If you run a 5- or 6-lug machine, or expect to, this is the one. Will it work on an ATV as well as a UTV? It works on any ATV or UTV whose hubs use one of the four supported bolt patterns. High Lifter describes the tool as being for ATV and UTV alignment generally. Because the tool is pattern-based rather than model-based, the only question that matters is what your hubs measure — not what the machine is called. Why High Lifter High Lifter has built ATV and UTV suspension, lift and drivetrain parts for decades, and the alignment tools come out of that same problem: people fit new arms and rods and then have no way to check what the change did to the geometry. Rather than sell a gauge that leans on a tire, High Lifter built a plate that bolts to the hub, and shipped it with the two tape measures and the angle finder you actually need to use it. Set Your Camber and Toe Before Your Next Ride Before you order, confirm the bolt pattern on your hubs — this tool fits by pattern, and 4x137mm, 4x156mm, 5x4.5in and 6x5.5in are the four it supports. If you are about to fit new A-Arms, tie rods or ball joints, buy the tool with the parts: every one of those jobs changes your alignment, and the measurement is only useful if you can take it the same day. Browse the full UTV Suspension range for the components themselves, and if you want to understand what you are about to adjust, our guide to camber, toe and caster on a side-by-side explains what each angle does and which ones your machine actually lets you change.
