High Lifter UTV Camber & Toe Alignment Kit (4-Lug)

Adding new arms, replacing a ball joint or swapping a bent tie rod all move your alignment — and on a 4-lug machine this is the kit that lets you check it. The High Lifter Alignment Kit is a pair of powder-coated steel plates that bolt straight to your wheel hubs so camber and toe can be measured properly in your own garage, on 4/137 and 4/156 bolt patterns. Rather than leaning a straightedge against a knobby tire, the plates bolt on and measure from the hub. Two tape measures read toe directly across the plates. A magnetic digital angle finder, accurate to 0.1 degrees and calibratable for a non-level surface in seconds, reads camber off the plate face. Key Features Steel alignment plates bolt to the hub and measure from it, instead of leaning against the tire like simpler gauges Plates are powder coated for a durable, easy-clean finish Two tape measures included for measuring toe directly Magnetic digital angle finder included — accurate to 0.1 degrees, with a large LCD, and calibratable for non-level surfaces in seconds Covers 4/137 and 4/156 bolt patterns across seven published stud size and thread pitch combinations Each plate bolts to a hub on either axle, so the kit works front or rear Built To Solve: Camber and Toe Errors on 4-Lug UTVs and ATVs Uneven tire wear. Alignment that is out of spec accelerates how fast tires wear, and takes ball joints, bushings, tie rods and steering racks with it. A steering wheel pointed off to one side. Usually toe, and usually the result of work done without a way to measure afterwards. Steering pull while driving. The symptom most owners live with because checking it seemed harder than tolerating it. No way to verify a suspension job. New control arms, tie rods or ball joints all change the geometry, and none of them tell you by how much. Cheap bubble levels that disagree with themselves. A 0.1-degree digital gauge that can be calibrated on an imperfect floor produces a number you can act on. Best For: 4-Lug UTV and ATV Owners Aligning at Home 4/156 machines, including the Polaris RZR XP and RZR Turbo 4/137 machines, including the Can-Am Maverick X3 and Honda Talon Owners who have just fitted A-arms, radius rods, tie rods or ball joints and want to confirm the result Anyone chasing uneven tire wear who wants a number rather than an opinion Riders who would rather align in the garage than book a shop visit If you run a 5-lug or 6-lug machine, this is the wrong kit — High Lifter's 4, 5 and 6 lug alignment tool covers those patterns instead Specifications Included: two bolt-on steel alignment plates, two tape measures, one magnetic digital angle finder Angle finder: accurate to 0.1 degrees, magnetic, large LCD, calibratable for non-level surfaces Plate finish: powder coated Measures: toe and camber Mounting: plates bolt to the wheel hub and are secured with the machine's own lug nuts Shipping weight: 9.4 lb Manufacturer Part Number: HL-TOOL-AK Fitment This kit fits by bolt pattern, not by year, make or model. High Lifter states the plates are designed to fit most UTV hub bolt patterns in 4/156 and 4/137, up to 12mm stud size. The published combinations are: 4/137 — 10mm x 1.25 4/137 — 12mm x 1.25 4/137 — 12mm x 1.5 4/156 — 3/8-24 4/156 — 10mm x 1.25 4/156 — 12mm x 1.25 4/156 — 12mm x 1.5 This is a 4-lug kit. It does not cover 5-lug or 6-lug machines. Confirm both your bolt pattern and your stud size before ordering; fitment is not guaranteed on any combination not listed above. Owners of 5x4.5in or 6x5.5in machines want High Lifter's 4, 5 and 6 lug alignment tool instead. FAQ What bolt patterns does this alignment kit fit? 4/137 and 4/156 only, up to 12mm stud size. High Lifter publishes seven specific combinations: 4/137 in 10mm x 1.25, 12mm x 1.25 and 12mm x 1.5, and 4/156 in 3/8-24, 10mm x 1.25, 12mm x 1.25 and 12mm x 1.5. Stud size matters as much as the pattern here, so check both against your hubs before ordering. Does this kit fit 5-lug or 6-lug machines? No. This is the 4-lug kit. If you run a Polaris RZR Pro R or Turbo R on 5x4.5in, or a Can-Am Maverick R on 6x5.5in, you want High Lifter's 4, 5 and 6 lug alignment tool, which adds those two patterns on top of the 4-lug ones. Buying on price alone will catch you out here — the wider-fitment tool is not the dearer one. Does it measure camber, or only toe? Both, with a separate tool for each. Toe is measured directly using the two tape measures included in the kit. Camber is measured with the magnetic digital angle finder, which is accurate to 0.1 degrees, has a large LCD, and can be calibrated for a non-level surface in seconds — which matters, because most garage floors are not level. Do I have to remove the wheels? Yes. The plates bolt to the hub and are secured with your own lug nuts, so the wheel comes off to fit them. That is deliberate: measuring from the hub face is what makes the reading trustworthy, and it is the difference between this and a gauge that rests against a flexing sidewall and a knobby tread. Can I use it on the rear as well as the front? Yes. Each plate bolts to a hub and nothing about it is front-specific, so rear toe and rear camber can be checked the same way as long as the rear hubs use one of the supported 4-lug combinations. Confirm the rear pattern rather than assuming it matches the front. Do I need adjustable arms to make use of it? Not for toe, which is adjusted at the tie rods on virtually any machine. Camber is the one that depends on your hardware: most stock side-by-sides have no camber adjustment at all, and you need adjustable control arms, adjustable ball joints or camber bolts before a camber reading turns into a camber change. The kit is still worth having on a stock machine to measure what you have and to set toe correctly. Why High Lifter High Lifter has spent decades building ATV and UTV suspension, lift and drivetrain parts, which is exactly the work that throws alignment out in the first place. The alignment kit is the answer to their own customers' problem: fit the parts, then measure the result. The plate-to-hub design and the 0.1-degree angle finder are both there because a number you cannot trust is no better than a guess. Check Your Bolt Pattern, Then Set Your Alignment Two things to confirm before you order: that your hubs are 4/137 or 4/156, and that your stud size is one of the seven published combinations above. If you are on 5 or 6 lug, take the 4, 5 and 6 lug tool instead. Pair this with whatever moved your geometry in the first place — new A-Arms, tie rods or ball joints from the UTV Suspension range — and measure the same day you install, while the machine is still on the stands.
