Hide and See Cabinet

Annette, a very practical interior designer friend of mine, bemoans the recent trend of open shelving and storage in every room of the house. “Where do you put all of your clutter?” she groans rhetorically. I sought to answer her question (really, not rhetorically) with our Hide and See Cabinet. Up top are two tall, glass-doored cabinets with five adjustable shelves each--that’s where you put all of your pretties, as Annette would call them. Down below are 12 (!) good-size drawers (21 brass cup pulls dress them up like jewels) for everything else. The entire cabinet is built of reclaimed fir and made elegant with a deep charcoal stain. Imported.
