Hidden Gem Hand Towel Pattern

Hidden Gem Towels designed by Michele Marshall. Discover the beauty of Bird’s Eye Twill with our Hidden Gem Towels. This elegant structure features staggered diamond shapes, each with a delicate center dot—like tiny treasures woven right into the fabric. A variation of classic diamond twill, Bird’s Eye Twill adds depth with its dotted diamonds. Both sides of the fabric are equally attractive—just choose your favorite side to hem and display. Woven in soft, absorbent Aurora Earth 8/2 cottons, these towels are perfect for everyday use or as thoughtful handwoven gifts. This project is designed for intermediate rigid heddle weavers using two heddles and is perfect for those ready to move beyond plain weave and pickup sticks. Whether you’re learning the technique for the first time or expanding your weaving skills, this is a wonderful next step on your weaving journey. The Hidden Gem Towels are a rewarding project that will leave you with skills to treasure—and handwoven towels you’ll be proud to use or gift.
