These are the three primary colors used in color printing to create a full spectrum of hues on your ID cards through dye-sublimation printing technology. How many prints can I get from an 084510 ribbon? ▼ The HID FARGO 084510 YMC Color Ribbon typically yields 500 images per roll. This count refers to single-sided prints for direct-to-card printing. Is Specialist ID an authorized dealer for this brand? ▼ Yes, Specialist ID is an authorized HID Global dealer with direct access to genuine Fargo ribbons and consumables. We stock fresh inventory, provide expert technical support, and maintain strong relationships with HID Global to ensure you receive authentic consumables with full manufacturer backing and warranty protection. Is this ribbon compatible with my FARGO DTC1250e printer? ▼ No, the HID FARGO 084510 YMC ribbon is not compatible with the DTC1250e. It's specifically designed for the DTC4500 and DTC4500e series printers. Always check your printer's manual for compatible ribbon part numbers. What's the difference between YMC and YMCKO ribbons? ▼ A YMC ribbon has Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan panels for full-color printing. A YMCKO ribbon includes an additional Black (K) panel for sharp text and barcodes, and an Overlay (O) panel that applies a clear protective layer over the entire card surface, enhancing durability and security. Is HID Fargo 084510 the same as 84510? ▼ Yes, HID Fargo 084510 and 84510 are the same product. HID Global often lists part numbers with or without the leading zero, but they refer to the same YMC color ribbon for your DTC printer. You can order with confidence knowing you're getting the correct ribbon, no matter which part number you see. Why is my ribbon breaking frequently? ▼ Frequent ribbon breaks can be caused by several factors, including using an incorrect ribbon type for your printer, issues with the printer's print head or rollers, or environmental factors like excessive dust or humidity. Regular printer cleaning and maintenance are essential. Does this replace the 84050 or 084050 ribbons? ▼ No, the HID FARGO 084510 YMC Color Ribbon does NOT replace the 84050 or 084050 ribbons. The 084050 is typically a YMCKO ribbon designed for HID FARGO HDP5000 series retransfer printers, while the 084510 is a YMC ribbon for Direct-to-Card (DTC) printers. These are fundamentally different ribbon types for different printing technologies. 🎨 Questions about direct-to-card printing?
