HIC Perforated Colander

HIC Kitchen's Essential Perforated Colander with handles and footed base is ideal for washing, draining, steaming, and blanching foods. Specially crafted from a solid piece of high-quality 18/8 stainless steel, the perforated bowl is stronger and sturdier than mesh to tackle heavier tasks while liquids are drained away easily. Its sturdy handles offer secure maneuvering of hot contents. The footed base elevates contents above liquids as they drain, which makes it perfect for washing produce, draining cooked pasta, rice, quinoa, grains, and vegetables. Place it over a pot of boiling water to use as a vegetable steamer, or dunk already cooked vegetables and pasta for a quick and easy reheat, even blanch fresh produce and drain it thoroughly before preserving it in the freezer.
