Luna™ Rose Hardy Hibiscus

Often small plants have dainty flowers. They are sweet to look at and draw you in close. But you'll want to look at the fantastic Luna™ Rose Hardy Hibiscus (Hibiscus moscheutos 'Luna Rose') because it is not that plant. Luna Rose is a compact plant, but it has massive flowers that you can see from a mile away. They can grow up to the size of dinner plates! The color of Luna™ Rose is a deep, rose-pink, and is eye-catching on its own, but if you look closer at the ruffled, overlapping petals and the sheer size you will be forever hooked! The pollinators and Hummingbirds will be equally dazzled all summer and fall! A member of the native and easy-to-care-for mallow family, Luna™ Rose Hardy Hibiscus will be a great addition to your garden. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, these compact hardy perennials grow 2-3 feet in height and width once established, growing from the roots to full size fast during the growing season! You aren't limited by small yards or land ownership either! Keep Hardy Hibiscus in containers on your balcony to rocket your apartment life into a new dimension! Its smaller stature is perfect for filling in those holes in your perennial border or foundation planting. You'll want to plant it where it can be seen and enjoyed, for sure! Create brilliant edging and facer plants all growing season with these easy-to-grow perennial plants! The glorious red blooms partner well with just about any other flower color! Put them in a subtropical pool deck with hot orange and pink blooms. Add them for a deliciously brilliant pop of color in a Cottage Garden or Pollinator Garden. Luna Rose emboldens pastels and jewel-toned plants alike in the mixed perennial border. Rain Gardens are another chance to make the most of the power of these plants due to their tolerance of moist soil. Use several in a mass planting on the berm to help control erosion and filter water runoff. Coastal gardeners won't need to worry either, and these salt-tolerant perennials thrive along salted streets or sidewalks too! Big Rose-Red Satellites Green Leaves With Toothy Margins Huge Nectar Resources For Pollinators & Hummingbirds Long-Lasting Blooms - Summer to Fall Low Hedges, Compact Container & Landscape Plants & Bright Color #ProPlantTips for Care: Provide full sun or partial shade for your Hardy Hibiscus because these perennials flower better with more sun. Plant them in well-drained soil that quickly dries out after rainfall. Their adaptability to occasionally wet and dry soils is incredible, but they do best with consistent watering and will keep your plant stress-free. Apply a 3-4 inch layer of mulch over the top of the roots, pulling them back away from the roots. As flowers are done, remove them for a more manicured look, then in early spring, trim down all the stems to the ground. Watch for the new growth to come up from the roots. Please be patient, as they are one of the last plants to start growing in spring.
