No. The package contains only pure dried hibiscus flower calyxes. You control sweetness by balancing the natural tartness when you create syrups or blend drinks. What is the correct steeping time and temperature for this hibiscus? Aim for roughly 210°F water and steep 2 to 3 teaspoons per 8 ounces for about 5 minutes. Longer heats will pull out earthy tannins that overpower the bright cranberry notes. Can I use these dried flowers directly in dry seasonings or rubs? Yes. Pulse the dry petals in a spice grinder until crumbled, then whisk them into rub bases paired with smoked paprika, garlic powder, or brown sugar for a fruity-savory crust.
