Hibiscus ‘Cooperii’ (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis cooperii)

Grown for its stunning variegated foliage and brilliant single red flowers, this heritage hibiscus cultivar is making a comeback. Hibiscus ‘Cooperii’ creates a fancy showpiece in the garden with its brilliantly colored leaves in shades of burgundy red, pink, white and green. Grow in full sunlight for maximum color intensity. If grown in the shade or the lower light level in winter the foliage turns green but it will return to vibrant colors once it’s given full sunlight. Hibiscus ‘Cooperii’ makes a fancy standard or grow it where a vibrant color statement is needed. Special note about Hibiscus flowers: Logee’s is proud to offer many unusual and vibrantly colored Hibiscus varieties. Flower color can vary depending on cultural issues like full or partial sun, if it’s a first or second day flower (colors sometimes change on the second day or become more muted), or even if the plant is young or mature. Please be aware that these color changes are normal. Available in a 4" pot.
