A horizontal termination kit allows a direct-vent fireplace to safely vent through an exterior wall rather than vertically through the roof. It includes the termination cap and protective components needed for proper venting. Why Choose the HHT SLP-TRAP2 Termination Kit? The SLP-TRAP2 termination kit simplifies installation by providing the correct components designed specifically for SLP vent pipe systems, ensuring safe exhaust flow and code-compliant venting. What is the difference between the HHT SLP-TRAP1 kit and the SLP-TRAP2 kit? HHT's SLP-TRAP1 venting kit is specifically designed for fireplaces that vent from the rear of the unit and then extend horizontally through walls constructed with 2" x 4" framing. On the other hand, the SLP-TRAP2 kit is intended for fireplaces that also vent from the rear but are meant to run horizontally through walls built with 2" x 6" framing. This makes this product an ideal solution for installers working with Majestic, Heat & Glo, or other Hearth & Home Technologies fireplaces using SLP venting.
