HeyCafe Buddy On Demand Espresso Grinder

Buddy On Demand Commercial Espresso Grinder by HeyCafe The HeyCafe Buddy is a professional-grade, on-demand espresso grinder that brings smart technology and precision grinding to your countertop — without the premium price tag. Built by HeyCafe, a subsidiary of the renowned Hemro Group (parent company of Mahlkönig and Ditting), the Buddy is engineered for coffee shop startups and serious home baristas who demand consistency, speed, and control. With its 3.5-inch touchscreen, 64mm German-made flat burrs, and stepless grind adjustment, the Buddy doesn't cut corners where it counts. 2 Year Warranty ($199+ Value) When investing in coffee equipment, peace of mind is worth its weight in gold. Gone are the days of considering additional fees as you add items to your cart. A Touchscreen That Makes Sense Forget fumbling with dials and switches. The Buddy's 3.5-inch full-color touchscreen display puts everything at your fingertips — recipes, settings, usage statistics, and notifications. Pull up your saved dose, check your grind stats, and adjust on the fly. It's intuitive enough for a new barista and powerful enough for a pro. 2 Programmable Doses Dial in your perfect grind once and save it. The Buddy supports two programmable dosing recipes — ideal for single and double shots — plus a manual mode when you want to take the wheel. Once your recipes are set, every dose is repeatable down to the gram. No guesswork, no waste, just consistent results cup after cup. 64mm Flat Burrs The 64mm burr size strikes a balance between being large enough to deliver consistent and precise grinding, yet not overly bulky. This makes it ideal for prosumer setups (enthusiast-level home espresso machines) and medium-volume coffee shops.  These coffee grinder burrs are often unimodal, meaning they produce a narrower range of particle sizes. This is advantageous for espresso, where we aim for a tight distribution around the desired grind size. Stepless - Infinite Grind Size Adjustment Stepless grinders differ from stepped grinders in that they do not have preset grind settings; instead, they feature a collar that you can rotate to adjust the grind size. This collar is usually marked with incremental lines or notches, providing a way to monitor the grind size. This precision is especially valuable for espresso, as even small changes in grind size can greatly affect the taste of the coffee. Stepless grinders offer unmatched control over your grind, enabling you to finely adjust it to your preferences and achieve superior extraction results. Low Retention Grinder retention is the enemy of fresh espresso. The Buddy's low-retention grinding system ensures that what goes in comes out — with minimal stale coffee lingering in the grinding chamber. The result is a steady, consistent flow of fresh grounds directly into your portafilter, every single time. Less waste, better taste, more repeatable shots. Two Modes for Any Flow The HeyCafe Buddy offers Flush Mode and Barista Mode to match how you work. Flush Mode clears residual coffee from the burrs before grinding your dose — great for high-volume environments where freshness matters. Barista Mode streamlines the workflow for rapid, back-to-back service. Switch between them instantly from the touchscreen. The Brand: HeyCafe Founded in Shanghai in 2006, HeyCafé made history as the first company in China to design and manufacture coffee grinders. Their mission has always been simple: commercial-grade grinding performance without the commercial price tag. In 2016, HeyCafé joined the Hemro Group — the conglomerate behind Mahlkönig and Baratza — gaining access to German-engineered burr technology while keeping their grinders accessible and affordable. Now selling in over 50 countries, HeyCafé offers a full range of espresso and shop grinders built for startups, growing cafés, and entrepreneurial baristas who refuse to compromise on consistency.
