HEXEN 5.0 Tarot

HEXEN 5.0 by Suzanne Treister is not a traditional tarot deck—it is a vast, immersive system for exploring the forces shaping our world and the possible futures ahead. HEXEN 5.0 explores interconnected global systems—ecological, technological, political, and spiritual—inviting a broader, big-picture approach to reading. Expanding on her earlier work, HEXEN 5.0 brings together 78 tarot works alongside large-format diagrams and supporting materials to create a richly layered, interdisciplinary experience. Drawing from alchemy, cybernetics, ecology, speculative science, and spiritual traditions, the deck functions as a kind of visual atlas—one that maps the entangled systems of technology, environment, culture, and consciousness. The imagery is inspired by historical alchemical diagrams, where science, art, and mysticism coexist. Here, those traditions are reimagined through contemporary lenses: climate crisis, artificial intelligence, planetary systems, and emerging philosophical movements like Spiritual Ecology and Earth System Science. This is a deck that invites inquiry rather than certainty. It asks questions about where we are, where we are headed, and what choices might shape a more regenerative future.
