There will be variances, so we recommend ordering a 10% overage in the case that some do not meet your expectations.  Please note, samples may not be an exact match to your order. Our products are made to order & are subject to dye lot differences (up to 10%). Depending on the color of the hardwood it may be more obvious than others. Lighter colored hardwood tends to show more grain than the darker colors.  Sometimes the edges are rougher than others due to the nature of wood and not considered a defect.
