Hex Cripple - Mayfly Dry Fly

Avid fly fishermen know the big hatch on their favorite river, they know when it will be coming, they get excited for it to come, and the second its over you're eagerly awaiting next year's hatch to start. In many areas the Hex hatch is the big hatch. The Hex Cripple is meant to imitate a hex the has died as it emergers. Large lazy trout know that it is easier to sip these stillborns of the surface than try and track a live one. Fish when the hatch is just starting to come off the water and fish it until it stops being effective. Sure to be a great go to pattern during the hex hatch.
