Heucherella Gold Zebra - Foamy Bells

Looking for a pop of lime and yellow with a rusty red that doesn’t overdo it and can blend with reds, purples, and orange? 'Gold Zebra' is a more toned down than some other Heucherella and was cultivated to blend seamlessly into the landscape while providing a bright colored layer of foliage to enhance the garden. It has a perfect mounding habit that gives it the appearance of a small shrub. Like Heuchera, Heucherella is a great selection for container planting and adding color in garden beds or walkways. In summer tall stems of flowers, that are excellent for cuttings, shoot up from the plant to suspend an array of bell shaded flowers.  Heucherella is a hybrid of the popular North American Heuchera (coral bells) and North American Tiarella (foam flower) combining many of the outstanding characteristics such as deeply lobed leaves, a multitude of colors, and larger size. 'Gold Zebra' has greater vigor than most Heucherellas. It forms a very dense mound of interesting foliage that is evergreen in most climates. Photo Credit: Terra Nova Nurseries
