Herringbone Silk Hatteras

Handcrafted in Germany, our Hatteras is defined by its impeccable stitching and sense of bold simplicity. Made from high-quality 100% wild silk, this Hatteras is ideal for warm temperatures, bringing understated style and sophistication wherever you go. The 8-piece construction and sewn-down brim are traditional features inspired by the iconic Newsboy Cap, which in turn took its cues from the Scottish Bonnet-style hats and Irish Flat Caps worn by farmers and laborers of the 14th-century. When those same workers eventually immigrated to the U.S.A. they brought their hats with them, which quickly caught on. A favorite of American jazz legends since the early 1900s, the Hatteras is a cap rooted in history. Equally at home out in the field and on city streets, the Hatteras epitomizes Stetson’s commitment to craft and celebrates the intrepid spirit. 8-Panel Construction 2 ½” Sewn-Down Brim 100% Silk Liner: 68% Cotton/32% Polyester Imported
