Hermle Norfolk Nautical Clock

The Hermle Norfolk Nautical Clock is a finely crafted symbol of maritime tradition. Designed with sailors and nautical enthusiasts in mind, this clock captures the romance of life at sea while delivering the unmatched precision of German clockmaking. Hermle Norfolk Nautical Clock Features: Premium Quality: The polished brass case is built to last for decades. The high-gloss finish echoes the gleam of ship instruments from a bygone era. Nautical Design: Inspired by traditional ship’s clocks mounted on a vessel’s bulkhead, its compact profile makes it equally at home on a boat or in a land-based nautical-themed room. Every element, from the beveled glass crystal to the precision-machined bezel, reflects Hermle’s century-old commitment to fine craftsmanship. Mechanical Movement: At the heart of the Norfolk lies a jeweled 8-day mechanical wind-up movement, a hallmark of traditional precision engineering. Instead of the standard Westminster chime, the Norfolk follows the traditional ship’s watch system used for centuries at sea: 1 strike per hour at 12:30, 4:30 and 8:30. 2 strikes per hour at 1:00, 5:00 and 9:00. 3 strikes per hour at 1:30, 5:30 and 9:30. 4 strikes per hour at 2:00, 6:00 and 10:00. 5 strikes per hour at 2:30, 6:30 and 10:30. 6 strikes per hour at 3:00, 7:00 and 11:00. 7 strikes per hour at 3:30, 7:30 and 11:30. 8 strikes per hour at 4:00, 8:00 and 12:00. This sequence was originally designed to help sailors keep track of their watch shifts without needing to see a clock.
