FAQs About Our Extra Dark Roast Coffee Beans What's the Best Way to Enjoy Your Hermits Bold Blend? Because extra dark roast coffees are so versatile and robust, you can brew them in almost any way and still get an exquisite flavor. One of the best methods for dark roasts is cold brewing. Its longer brewing time allows you to extract the most from the Hermits Bold Blend's taste. You can also brew using an espresso machine, as an extra dark roast like the Hermits Bold Blend can tolerate the heat and pressure used to make the best shot of espresso you've ever tasted. Why are Arabica Coffee Beans So Significant For This Blend? Both dark roast and medium roast coffee come from either the arabica coffee plant or the robusta bean coffee plant. The arabica bean is considered better because it can only be grown at high altitudes in the most fertile conditions, which are rarely found in Central and South America, as well as in distant regions like Sumatra, Indonesia. What's so special about our Hermits Bold Blend is that it blends arabica coffee beans from two different areas of the world to produce an extra dark roast coffee with a truly unique flavor profile that we know you'll enjoy.
