Herman Counter Chair

The Ferm Living Herman Counter Chair brings the signature comfort and sleek aesthetics of the beloved Herman series to counter-height seating through its thoughtfully proportioned design that perfectly balances elegance with everyday functionality. This isn't just a shorter version of the bar chair - the Herman Counter Chair represents the ideal intersection of form and function, where FSC-certified black painted ash veneer creates rich contrast against the powder-coated steel frame. The distinctive curved backrest provides natural support that encourages comfortable rocking motion, while the oval seat rises gently at the edges for enhanced comfort during extended sitting. Whether you're creating a casual breakfast spot at your kitchen island, designing a workspace that invites collaboration, or outfitting a café that prioritizes both style and comfort, the Herman Counter Chair delivers sophisticated seating that works beautifully for quick meals, productive work sessions, or leisurely conversations with friends. This counter chair demonstrates the thoughtful engineering that makes extended sitting genuinely comfortable while maintaining the clean lines that define contemporary Scandinavian design. At 39.5cm wide, 39.5cm deep, and 87cm high with a seat height of 76cm, the Herman provides ideal proportions for standard counter heights without overwhelming smaller spaces, while the integrated footrest ensures proper leg support during longer sitting sessions. The lightweight yet substantial construction makes repositioning effortless despite the premium feel that speaks to quality materials and Danish craftsmanship. The black painted ash finish adds sophisticated depth while showcasing the natural wood grain beneath, requiring only occasional wiping with a damp cloth to maintain its lustrous appearance. Designed by Herman Studio specifically for Ferm Living, this counter chair exemplifies attention to ergonomic details while delivering the stackable functionality appreciated in both residential and commercial settings. Ferm Living, based in Copenhagen, designs with balance, simplicity, and soul through their commitment to creating seating that enhances social spaces while respecting sustainable forestry practices through FSC certification. The Herman Counter Chair reflects the brand's passion for furniture that brings people together around kitchen islands, work surfaces, and café tables where meaningful connections happen. Not only do they create exceptional seating collections, but they also offer complete furniture systems, lighting, and accessories all designed to work harmoniously in contemporary interiors. Through FSC-certified wood construction, powder-coated steel frames, and that distinctly Danish approach to balancing refined proportions with lasting comfort, Ferm Living helps you build spaces that feel personal, warm, and deeply considered while elevating everyday moments through seating that invites both productivity and relaxation.
