Herbsmith Microflora Plus Digestive Support For Cats-30 capsules

Microflora Plus is a natural cat food supplement that will keep your kitty’s digestive system regular. Even the healthiest of felines can benefit from probiotics or prebiotics for cats, as Microflora offers nutritional benefits for kitties in all seasons of life. From room-clearing toots to the occasional bout of diarrhea, our digestive supplement can help provide relief for the GI tract. One of our most popular supplements, this digestive aid helps promote proper digestion and bowel health through gut-soothing herbs, probiotics, prebiotics, and cat digestive enzymes. Each of these work in a different way to help support and maintain a properly-functioning digestive system. Probiotics Probiotics for cats are essential for proper digestion! These are “good bacteria," living microorganisms projecting health benefits for their host—namely, digestive systems. They're quantified by the number of colony forming units (CFUs), a term that describes the probiotic's ability to reproduce. The higher the CFU, the better the effect of the probiotic on the body. Digestive Enzymes Enzymes work to break down nutrients. Some molecules are harder to break down for dogs & cats (for instance, the cellulose found in plant-based foods). Digestive enzymes break down large molecules into smaller, more usable pieces that can be utilized effectively by the digestive tract. Microflora Plus contains digestive enzymes that are specifically geared towards a carnivore’s needs, including elevated levels of amylase and cellulase. Gut-Soothing Herbs Herbs soothe GI distress naturally, without interfering with the probiotics and digestive enzymes already at work. Ginger, cinnamon, and licorice are all gut-soothing herbs that can be found in Microflora Plus.
