Henry Tilney-Dryad DK

Yardage: approx. 231 yd/ 211 m Gauge: 4.5-5 stitches per 1" on size US 7-9 needles. 80/10/10 superwash merino/cashmere/nylon “The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.” A man who loves reading is already on his way to being a favorite with the ladies, but Henry Tilney can dance, appreciate art, joke, and get in touch with his spiritual side. No wonder Catherine considers him such a catch! Jane Austen often fills her characters with wicked wittiness, but I love the sly, playful banter of Henry Tilney. He seems like just a fun person to be friends with, yet still retains an elegance and intrigue that makes him irresistible to the heroine of Northanger Abbey. This color celebrates Henry's mystery, and makes this the perfect blend of Jane Austen and a Gothic novel. Soft teal melts into silver, pewter, and charcoal, broken by random peekaboo speckles in rich amethyst. The gunmetal glaze keeps everything subdued and grunge-y but the rich colors still create plenty of vibrancy and excitement. I use professional quality acid dyes to ensure vivid colors that will last. No two skeins are identical: if you need more than one skein for your project, be sure to alternate rows to ensure variegation. Please note that each skein is a unique work of art and may not exactly match the photos, but will be very close. I may reskein your yarn before shipping to avoid tangles if necessary. Want your skein shipped ready to knit? Click here to get it wound into a center pull cake! Remember to add one cake winding per skein you want caked!
