Hennessy Black Cognac 750ml

Hennessy Black is the most cocktail-forward expression in the Hennessy lineup — designed specifically for mixing, built around the idea that a premium Cognac should be just as at home in a glass with ice and soda as it is sipped neat. Introduced as "Distinctively Smooth," Hennessy Black was created to offer a lighter, crisper character than the classic V.S. or V.S.O.P., making it more versatile in cocktails where the Cognac needs to integrate with other ingredients rather than dominate them. The striking all-black bottle with its matte finish and silver accents makes it one of the most visually distinctive bottles in the Hennessy range. Like all Hennessy expressions, Black is distilled from eaux-de-vie sourced from Cognac, France, and overseen by the Maison's Master Blender. It is bottled at 40% ABV — the same proof as V.S. — but its blend is built for freshness and brightness rather than the dried fruit and vanilla depth of V.S.O.P. or X.O. The result is a smooth, accessible, and mixable Cognac that performs equally well in a Hennessy Black and Ginger, a simple spritz over ice, or as a premium base in classic brandy cocktails. FAQ How does Hennessy Black differ from V.S. and V.S.O.P.? V.S. and V.S.O.P. are built for sipping — richer, fruitier, and more structured. Hennessy Black is purpose-built for cocktails, with a lighter and crisper profile that integrates cleanly into mixed drinks. It is smoother and less complex than V.S.O.P. but more premium in its positioning and more distinctive in its presentation. What are the best cocktails to make with Hennessy Black? The classic is Hennessy Black and Ginger Ale over ice with a lemon squeeze. It also works beautifully in a French 75 style cocktail with champagne, in a Sidecar, or simply over a large ice cube with a splash of sparkling water and citrus.
