Traumaid Kaolin Hemostatic Gauze

Kaolin Hemostatic Gauze | 3" x 12 ft Z-Fold Control severe bleeding where a tourniquet can't reach. Not every life-threatening bleed happens on an arm or leg. Wounds to the neck, armpit, groin, or torso need to be packed and held with firm pressure. This hemostatic gauze is treated with kaolin, a naturally occurring mineral that activates the body's own clotting process. It gives you a better chance of controlling serious bleeding until help arrives. Why carry it Kaolin-treated: Kaolin speeds up the body's natural clotting response. It's mineral-based, with no animal or shellfish proteins. 12 feet of gauze: The 3" x 12 ft length gives you enough material to pack deep wounds fully. Z-fold design: The gauze feeds out in a controlled way as you pack, so it won't tangle or unroll on its own. Sterile and sealed: Each gauze is individually packaged and stays clean and ready in your kit. Compact and lightweight: It weighs about 0.35 oz and fits in an IFAK, trauma kit, plate carrier, EDC pouch, glovebox, or range bag.
