The factory was founded in 1932, and while it has evolved from the factory initially operated without electrical power, the hands of skilled craftsmen are still its cornerstone. Helle knives, though beautiful, are made to be used and are rugged enough to stand up to the wild mountains, fjords and open seas that surround the factory. They are designed and made by people who use them in this wild environment. In other words, they stand up to the real world. Each Helle knife is unique, as it is hand made from natural materials.
