The Helical antenna is an excellent general purpose video receiver antenna. Originally developed for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite and space communications, helical antennas are an excellent choice for close in clarity as well as missions in which extended ranges are required. This Helical has a fairly wide main beam, and when coupled with the multiple side lobes make it possible to obtain omni directional coverage at moderate distance. The bandwidth is extremely wide to cover multiple bands and channels. This is the IBCrazy Helical for 5.8GHz with a stiff antenna cable to allow for easy mounting on goggles*. Beam width: 105 degrees -3db point: 65 degrees Frequency range: 5600-5980Mhz Axial ratio: .82 *User must be sure they keep the antenna pointed in the general direction of the transmitter.
