Held In The Waiting

Original Oil Painting by Danny Vasquez The sky opens before the earth catches up. Light spills through the clouds, settling into the haze over the distant hills while the tree line below still waits its turn. This is the in-between moment, the promise already kept in the heavens, not yet finished on the ground. Painted in oil, built up slow, the way real light moves. Held in the waiting, until it isn't. This is part of the Already and Not Yet collection of oil paintings rooted in the glimpses we see of eternity and God's glory through the sky, the land, the sea, and all creation. A glory we can experience in part, but not yet fully– Already and Not Yet. This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting. It will not be reproduced. Once it finds its home, it is gone.
