Ken Russell’s Whore (Replica 1991 Promo Shirt/Theresa Russell)

Ken Russell’s Whore – Replica 1991 Film Promo Tee A bold collision of gritty street realism and Ken Russell’s distinctive cinematic eye, Whore is the controversial 1991 drama that dared to strip away Hollywood glamor and tell its story raw and unfiltered. Directed and co-written by the legendary British filmmaker Ken Russell and adapted from the stage monologue Bondage by David Hines, the film follows a night in the life of Liz — a Los Angeles sex worker whose blunt, fourth-wall monologues take you deep into the shadows of survival, exploitation, and endurance. Featuring a fearless performance by Theresa Russell and co-starring Benjamin Mouton and Antonio Fargas, Whore premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 1991 and gained notoriety for its uncompromising tone and NC-17 rating.
