It has a replaceable blade mechanism and pivoted design for a traditional straight razor experience without the inconvenience of blade maintenance. Experience a straight razor's satisfying close and smooth shave daily without stropping, periodic honing, and other maintenance. The Hector Shavette Straight Razor has a traditional straight razor design but a spine that houses recyclable blades. This shavette’s spine is made using Naked Armor’s signature ACRO Japanese Stainless Steel. It is incredibly resistant to moisture, rust, and other corrosive elements, making it a long-lasting, high-quality wet shaving essential. The heft and robustness of the spine are complemented by a hardwood scale. We chose Mahogany wood for its natural elasticity and excellent resistance to wear and tear that protects the scales from moisture. The "Shavette is perfectly balanced," said customer Michael, and he goes on to describe his post-purchase experience: "The Naked Armor shavette is screams quality, durability, and usability. Metal scales instead of plastic, substantial and sturdy construction with no mechanical slop, plus the weight, heft, and feel of a fixed blade straight razor. Leather case is awesome too. Do yourself a favor, stop wasting your entire life messing around with substandard, ugly, flimsy shavers that give mediocre results and get one of these shavettes instead." What is a Shavette Razor? A shavette is also known as a disposable blade straight razor. It can have a fixed or folding design, similar to a straight razor, but it uses disposable blades. The blades are not resharpened and can only last a few shaves before changing them out. Professional barbers often use a shavette because it is more hygienic as they can replace or use a new blade for every customer. For personal use, the replaceable blade feature replaces the need for blade maintenance, stropping, and honing, ensuring you have a shave-ready razor at all times. Great For Beginners  Replaceable blade straight razors give you the same close and clean shave as traditional straight-edge razors without going through the long learning curve of mastering a straight razor. A replaceable straight razor blade is perfect for both straight razor beginners and experts alike. Sharp Out Of The Box This blade is ready to shave right out of the box and comes with one blade, locked and loaded and ready for you to use. ✅ We recommend these Derby blades on amazon as refills.
