Root health starts before transplant, and the Bootstrap Farmer 4 Cell Plug Tray Insert is designed with that in mind. The deeper cell profile gives tomatoes, peppers, and other transplants room to develop without becoming rootbound, while the built-in air prune technology uses strategic air channels to stop roots from circling and encourage more vigorous, branching root systems. Made in the USA from FDA Prime Grade #5 BPA-free polypropylene plastic, these inserts are food-safe, heavy-duty, and built for repeated seasonal use. The extra-large ¾" drainage hole makes popping seedlings out clean and easy. Eight fit per standard 1020 tray, four per 1010 tray. Available in blue, green, purple, pink, orange, and multicolor so you can keep different varieties organized at a glance. Specs: 5¼" × 5¼" × 4" tall | Cells: 2⅜" top, tapers to 1¼" bottom | Air prune slits: 2½" long × ⅛" wide | Each cell holds 1 cup of soil (1 insert = 1 qt) | Not compatible with 1020 or 1010 humidity domes
