Heart Plus Powder: Vitamin C, L-Lysine & L-Proline 5.28 oz. **Use within 40 days of opening**

Heart Plus, with Vitamin C, L-Lysine and L-Proline (Free-Form Amino Acids), is based on Linus Pauling's formula to support cardiovascular health. NEW honey-lemon flavor. Benefits Vitamin C supports healthy arteries. L-Lysine and L-Proline support the body's appropriate use of cholesterol. Supports healthy blood pressure already within the normal range. Product InformationIn 1991, Linus Pauling invented a non-prescription approach to heart health. The two-time Nobel prize-winning genius, chemist, and medical researcher made the strong claim that heart health can be maintained by a specific "mega-nutrient" therapy. Pleasantly, there are no known adverse side effects to the method developed by Pauling and his co-inventor, Dr. Mathias Rath, M.D. Their approach works by supporting the foundation of cardiovascular health. According to Pauling and Rath, cardiovascular health can be strongly supported by providing the body with sufficient amounts of Vitamin C (which helps maintain the healthy production of collagen, a vital component for healthy arteries) and the amino acids L-Lysine and L-Proline (which support the body's appropriate use of cholesterol as it pertains to cardiovascular health). Three amino acids are required to create collagen: glycine, lysine, and proline. Glycine is always found in amply supply in the body; however, insufficient lysine and proline levels require supplementation to support optimal collagen production. Why Use the Powder Form? According to Pauling and Rath, cardiovascular health can be strongly supported by providing the body sufficient amounts of Vitamin C (which helps maintain the healthy production of collagen, a vital component for healthy arteries) and the amino acids L-Lysine and L-Proline which support the body's appropriate use of cholesterol as it pertains to cardiovascular health. Inspired by Pauling and Rath's formula and many, many years of member requests, Heart Plus Powder has been developed to make this "mega-nutrient" formula easy to take each day. Each serving (one scoop) is the equivalent of 6 tablets or capsules of this formula; people taking 18 tablets or capsules a day can now use 3 scoops in water. We know taking dozens of pills can be tedious, so we created Heart Plus Powder to make staying on top of your nutritional needs a cinch. Warnings The L-Lysine and L-Proline used in this formula are Free-Form amino acids. Heart Plus Powder should be kept in a cool, dry place. Excessive exposure to humidity can discolor the formula because of natural interactions between vitamin C and L-Proline, which are cosmetic but not harmful. The vitamin C and L-Proline remain highly stable and effective even if some pink or orange tinting occurs. With high-dose vitamin C programs, it is possible to reach a state of saturation for your body's immediate needs, which can cause a natural "bowel flush." This is totally safe and just means that you have found the amount that is "just over" what your body needs. Reduce the amount you take when this happens, and you will have your body's most current ideal amount of vitamin C. Cell Nutritionals' Heart Plus is one of the foundational products of Bill Henderson's famous wellness protocol. Factoids Cardiovascular health is always among the Top 3 health and wellness priorities in the world. In 1989, Linus Pauling and his colleague Matthias Rath, MD, published their theory on cardiovascular health. To this day, this work has not been disputed. Pauling and Rath postulated that the root cause of heart health issues involves a chronic vitamin C deficiency along with deficiencies in lysine and proline required to build healthy collagen. Bears, whose cholesterol levels can be three times the amount of humans and whose heart rates slow down during hibernation, demonstrate no signs of cholesterol stress in their hearts; but they, like most mammals, can produce vitamin C endogenously. A 150-pound goat has typical blood concentrations of 13 grams of ascorbic acid (what would take at least 13 grams of intake for a human). Under stress, the goat produces more vitamin C to fight infections, repair tissues, and protect critical organ function, like the hard-working heart muscle and arteries. Under immune stress, it's not unusual for people to need a significantly larger amount of vitamin C, as humans are among only four mammals that do not produce vitamin C internally (endogenously) and require vitamin C from dietary (and supplemental) sources to combat stress to the immune system.
