Past (Healing the Past) ~ Subliminal

Healing the Past —There are things in everyone’s past that are painful. Sometimes it things we’ve done and wish we had not, sometimes it was something done to us, and sometimes something done to someone we loved. As long as we hold on to these hidden wounds, they cannot heal.  The past is over. Its lessons are learned. It's time to release it. Don't let the past sabotage your present and future. Healing the wounds of the past is essential to our well-being. Holding onto the past only inhibits our actions today. Often the best way to let go of the pain is by loving it away. When we realize that our actions today seed the feelings we will know best tomorrow, then it is incumbent upon us to take the steps to make this happen. It was Henri Nouwen who offered us a cure for our pain. He did so with these words, “Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone's face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.” We can actively choose to live a wonderful life and that begins with what we do today. Begin now to sow the seeds of joy, love, and happiness. The past is over. Its lessons are learned. It's time to release it. Don't let the past sabotage your present and future. Allow yourself to heal from the pains of yesterday. Change your life for the better and begin now—why not? In the words of Hippocrates, “Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.” The opportunity is before you—what is your choice? Act today.
