Heralding the return of BIG JOHN BATES is Headless Fowl, the darkest music Bates has put out since Bates Motel or Annihilator coining it as Americana Noir. Breeding dark cabaret with the roots music Bates is famous they add to the impact with rustic, soulful vocals and lyrics. Sung both by Bates & upright bassist Brandy Bones the EP was produced by Robert Ferbrache (16 Horsepower, Woven Hand, Slim Cessna). It has the sweeping intensity and dark feel that comes from the depths of Denver's Absinthe Studios.
