He Is Not Here - premium canvas

He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:6 KJV Mary and Mary Magdalene came to Jesus’ tomb to grieve, but their sorrow was soon replaced with excitement.  Greeted by an angel of the Lord, the women were the first to hear the incredible news, “He isn’t here. He is risen from the dead, just as He said would happen!”  Frightened and yet filled with great joy, Mary and Mary Magdalene rushed to tell the others.  Their friend was alive, their teacher lived, their Messiah reigned – even over death. Years ago I had longingly gazed on a friend’s photo of the Garden Tomb, deeply moved by the events that had happened there.  In an amazing way, God opened a door for me to go to Israel, and visiting the Garden Tomb, I too was graciously able to see where my Lord lay. •  artwork will include this story tag •  copyright © watermark will not be on final artwork •  unless noted, orders ship within 2-3 days
