The Hayman WS7-E is designed to be recessed directly between standard 16-inch on-center wall studs. Simply cut the drywall between two studs, slide the safe body into the cavity, and secure it into the wooden studs using side-mounting lag bolts. Can the Hayman WS7-E wall safe be concealed easily? Yes. Because the safe sits flush against the drywall flange, it can be easily hidden behind framed artwork, hanging mirrors, dressers, or inside closet spaces for complete invisibility. What happens if the electronic keypad battery dies? The electronic keypad maintains your stored user code even when batteries lose power. The battery compartment is accessible from the exterior of the lock panel, or an emergency key override can be used depending on the key lock configuration. Is the Hayman WS7-E fireproof? Wall safes are generally non-fireproof due to wall cavity depth restrictions. For high fire protection requirements, pair this wall safe with fire-resistant document bags or consider Hayman's FlameVault series floor models.
