A depository safe features a top or front loading drop hopper. Employees can make register drops, store cash, or deposit receipts into the safe without having access to the main lock combination or opening the safe door, keeping active funds isolated from theft or internal loss. Can dropped items be retrieved or "fished" out of the front hopper? No. The Hayman CV-14-C utilizes internal anti-fish baffles designed to block wires, hooks, or physical tools from reaching down into the cash compartment through the loading slot. Does the Hayman CV-14-C need to be bolted down? Yes, bolting down is strongly recommended. Weighing 68 lbs, the safe comes factory pre-drilled with four 1/2-inch mounting holes so it can be anchored directly to concrete or hardwood floors to prevent unauthorized removal of the entire unit. Can the mechanical combination lock be upgraded to an electronic keypad? Yes. While the standard model ships with a UL Listed dial mechanical combination lock, an electronic keypad option can be retrofitted or ordered for faster access and multi-user PIN management.
