Schlappen is like saddle hackle, but softer and more webby. Primarily used for collars or hackle on steelhead and salmon patterns. Useful in modern trout streamer patterns and saltwater baitfish too. Consistent dye jobs and a wide range of colors make this our go-to hackle streamer hackle feather.
