Its approachable proof and balanced profile make it an exceptional sipper, perfect for discerning palates seeking depth without overwhelming intensity. Tasting Notes Nose: A delicate and inviting aroma of caramel, vanilla bean, and toasted oak, intertwined with hints of dried apricot, subtle floral notes, and a whisper of baking spice, primarily cinnamon and nutmeg. There's a gentle sweetness, not overpowering, with a clean and elegant presentation. Palate: The entry is soft and approachable, showcasing a refined balance of sweet and savory. Flavors of creamy vanilla and butterscotch lead, quickly followed by a layer of dried dark fruits like cherry and fig. The oak influence is present but well-integrated, offering notes of toasted wood and a touch of roasted nuts. A delicate spice backbone emerges mid-palate, with black pepper and a fleeting herbaceous quality. The mouthfeel is smooth and medium-bodied, a testament to its single barrel origin. Finish: The finish is medium in length, clean, and satisfying. Sweet notes of caramelized sugar and faint dark chocolate linger alongside a gentle warmth from the oak. A touch of baking spice and a slight drying sensation round out the experience, leaving a desire for another sip. No harshness or heat, just a pleasant and lingering elegance.
