Medium Hamadagama Round Plate

This shallow plate features a soft gray glaze that transitions subtly from light to earthy tones, creating a natural, layered effect. Around the rim, delicate white brushstrokes—evoking the motion of falling comets—add a sense of rhythm and quiet energy to the surface. The understated color palette and brush-applied decoration exemplify the aesthetics of Japanese mingei (folk craft), where functionality and natural beauty coexist. Its low, open form makes it versatile for serving everything from side dishes to sweets or salads. Hand-thrown and glazed using traditional methods, each piece has slight variations in shape, finish, and brush pattern—marking it as one-of-a-kind.
