This 1-3/4" wide by 1" deep aluminum channel is designed to be used with the cleat box covers. These go above by providing additional protection. The 5', 6' and 8' models have an upper and lower hinge assembly and is secured to the pole with six #10-32NC stainless steel pan head screws (included). The 10' model has upper, middle and lower hinge assemblies and is secured to the pole with nine #10-32NC stianless steel pan head screws (included). **Note, the picture shown is with the cleat box cover which is sold separate**
