Each Half Grizzly Saddle offers a dense selection of usable feathers with clean, even barbs and minimal webbing, making them ideal for palmering bodies, building flowing tails, or hackle on bigger dries. If you love the look and fish‑catching power of grizzly feathers but don’t need a full saddle, Hareline Half Grizzly Saddles are a smart, efficient choice. High‑quality grizzly hackle for streamers and buggers These saddles shine on patterns where movement and profile matter. Long, supple feathers make it easy to tie everything from classic Woolly Buggers and leech patterns to modern articulated streamers. The natural grizzly barring adds contrast and realism that makes beautiful flies for trout, bass, pike, musky and steelhead flies. With plenty of feathers in the prime sizes, a single Half Grizzly Saddle can turn into a serious pile of flies, making it a go‑to material for anglers who fish streamers. Versatile sizing for larger dry flies and attractors While most tiers reach for these saddles for streamers, there are also plenty of feathers suitable for larger dry flies and attractor patterns. Use them for big stonefly dries, bushy terrestrials, and high‑floating attractors where durability and visibility are key. The feather range on Hareline Half Grizzly Saddles typically covers popular hook sizes for bigger dries and buggers, giving you flexibility to experiment with different patterns and profiles from a single patch.
