Half Chubby

Half Chubby The Half Chubby takes the proven profile and buoyancy of the classic Chubby Chernobyl and trims it down into a smaller, more natural presentation. Built with a hackle-wrapped abdomen, this pattern rides lower in the film while still offering enough floatation to suspend a small dropper. It is an excellent choice during summer attractor fishing, golden stone activity, hopper season, or anytime trout are keyed in on smaller terrestrial and foam-bodied dries. The slimmer silhouette and added movement from the hackle make it especially effective on pressured fish that refuse oversized foam patterns. Key Features: Mini Chubby profile for a more subtle presentation Hackle-wrapped abdomen adds movement and improves drift Foam overbody provides dependable floatation Great dry-dropper fly for small nymph rigs Effective attractor pattern throughout summer and early fall Works well on rivers and small streams where trout see heavy pressure A versatile foam dry that bridges the gap between a traditional attractor and a more refined terrestrial imitation.
