Jindrich Halabala Art Deco Bentwood Armchairs, 1940's

This pair of Art Deco chairs, by Czech designer Jindrich Halabala, showcases his signature bentwood craftsmanship. The gracefully curved seat and backrest, paired with distinctive bentwood armrests, highlight the sculptural elegance of the design. The patinated wood contrasts beautifully with the newly upholstered seats. The upholstery fabric is a glazed linen that has a very subtle sheen.  Halabala's chairs are known for their sweeping curves, stylized geometry and dark, richly grained wood. They embody the best of Art Deco furniture design, a style that was brought to worldwide attention at exhibition in Paris 1925.  MEASUREMENTS: W 25.5" x H 29" x D 26" x SH 14.5" MATERIALS: Beech and Linen
