Hakonechloa Aureola

Bring elegance and movement to shaded areas with Hakonechloa ‘Aureola’, also known as Golden Japanese Forest Grass. This beautiful ornamental grass features cascading blades of gold and green foliage that create a soft, flowing effect in the landscape. The arching leaves brighten up shady garden spaces and provide stunning texture from spring through fall. Growing 1-2 ft. tall, Hakonechloa Aureola is an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, pathways and containers. Its compact, mounding habit makes it a versatile addition to landscapes where other plants may struggle. This low-maintenance perennial prefers partial to full shade and performs best in moist, well-drained soil. The foliage takes on warm golden tones in cooler weather, adding seasonal interest late into the year.
