Cut Copy – Haiku From Zero Cassette Tape

The fifth studio album from Cut Copy, Haiku From Zero is a radiant burst of melody and rhythm, exploring the chaos of modern life with shimmering synths and infectious grooves. Haiku From Zero is Cut Copy’s fifth studio album, and it explores themes of modern disconnection, digital overload, and the search for meaning in a hyper-connected world. While the title suggests something poetic rising from nothing, the music and lyrics reflect a tension between chaos and clarity—using vibrant synths, rich textures, and upbeat rhythms to confront an often disorienting world. Dan Whitford (Cut Copy frontman) has described the album as being about “how we exist in this culture of information overload,” where everything is instant and ephemeral, yet we still crave deeper connections and authenticity. The songs balance that emotional yearning with lush, danceable production, making the album feel like a celebration of trying to stay grounded in an overwhelming time. “An album that captures the energy of a world constantly plugged in.” — Pitchfork This cassette version comes in a full-color package, complete with album artwork and liner notes.
