The faces have a diameter of 1-3/8" (35mm) Importance of Using a Brass Hammer When using a disc cutter, design punches or other steel tools you should avoid using a jeweler's hammer, ball peen hammer, household hammer or any other steel hammer. Using them can be dangerous. Use a Brass Hammer instead. When you strike a steel tool with a steel hammer, there is a great possibility that the impact can cause one or both of the tools to crack or shatter.
