The Viking VAL3SP17 is the 40B17 drive sprocket for L-3, H-10 and K-2 slide gate operators built after 2013. It drives the #40 gate chain from the gearbox output. Replace it when the teeth are hooked or worn, or when you replace a stretched chain. Check the idler pulley and bushing at the same time. Fits L-3 (built after 2013) H-10 (built after 2013) K-2 (built after 2013) Before You Order Match the part number and tooth count on your existing sprocket. Older L-3, H-10 and K-2 units use the 41B25 sprocket, VAL3SP25. Uses #40 chain. The 25 ft #40 chain kit is VAL3CKN.
