H. C. Chao. - Basic Chinese Boxing

Basic Chinese Boxing (Chinese-English Edition)  One of the best Tan Tui (彈腿) guides available. The term Tan Tui (彈腿) can be translated into English in several ways: Spring Leg, Pond Leg, Pond Kick (this refers to the Dragon Pond Temple in Shandong Province), Tam's Kick, and others. As a Tao Lu (form, routine, set), Tan Tui can be found in many Northern styles (including Shaolin Long Fist) of Chinese martial arts. Its prevalence being so widespread, a common saying among Chinese martial artists has evolved: “If your Tan Tui is good, your Kung Fu will be good”. The book contains the basic Tan Tui forms, namely: 12 Road, Gung Li (Flowing Strength - Northern Shaolin Long Fist, Chin Woo version), Short Strike set and paired or "two-man" Tan Tui set.
