GurglePot | Medium

Medium GurglePot® (12 oz) A little fish with a big personality. The Medium GurglePot pours just enough for one or two glasses, and every pour ends with a cheerful gurgle that makes even a Tuesday lunch feel like an occasion. The details The sound comes from the design itself: as you pour, air gets trapped in the fish's tail, and when you tip it back upright, that air escapes with a happy "glug." No batteries, no gimmicks, just a clever shape doing its job. At 12 oz and 6.5 inches tall, the Medium is a smaller pitcher than it may look in photos. That's its charm. It's sized for a nightstand, a desk, a kid's place setting, or a single glass of lemonade on the porch. It's made of durable, food safe stoneware, high fired for a rich, glossy finish, and it goes right in the dishwasher. GurglePot notes that this size is intended for cold beverages only, so keep the hot coffee in the mug and fill this one with water, juice, or iced tea. The GurglePot story GurglePot started at a wedding dinner in a small village in southern France. Founder Matt Ellison was staying with a French host family, and with no shared language between them, the long dinners had plenty of quiet stretches. What saved the evening was a fish-shaped water pitcher that gurgled with every pour. Matt started drinking more water than wine just to fill the room with that sound and get the table laughing. He came home and began sculpting his own version. It took ten years, two kids, 15 molds, and one typhoon off the coast of China before the GurglePot was ready to share. The goal is the same one he found at that table in France: a few more smiles at every meal.
