Tips for Using Gundam Markers Prepare the Surface: Before using Gundam Markers, ensure the surface of your model is clean and smooth. Wash the parts to remove any oils or residues from the manufacturing process. Lightly sanding the surface can also help the marker adhere better. Use the Right Marker for the Job: Gundam Markers come in different types, such as fine tips for panel lining and broader tips for coloring larger areas. Choose the appropriate marker for the task to achieve clean and precise lines. For example, the GM01 fine black marker is great for panel lines, while broader markers are better for larger color applications. Enhancing Realism with Inking: Inking is used to trace hollow lines, giving your model a three-dimensional feel and making it appear more realistic. The effect is enhanced when you choose ink colors that match the model parts. Generally, black is suitable for dark parts, grey for lighter parts, and brown for red parts. Practice and Patience: Practice on spare parts or plastic sheets before applying the marker to your model. This helps you get a feel for the marker and control the pressure you apply. Take your time and work in small sections to avoid mistakes. If you make an error, you can use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to gently remove the excess ink.
